Colonial Williamsburg

We went to Colonial Williamsburg for a long weekend.  Mike had a work conference so we tagged along.  We spent two days visiting Colonial Williamsburg.  Tori and Mike even participated in one of the shows.  They marched with the red coats!

A Friendly Critter

Recently we have been visited by many critters in our yard.  This critter we thought looked like a mix of badger and squirrel.  He was not afraid of humans either as he let me get pretty close up to take pictures.  Turns out he is a North Carolina Fox Squirrel.

Tony the Turtle

This is Tony the Turtle.  Tori found him on the side walk in front of our garage.  He is not small by any means, measuring about 9 x 12 inches.  We decided to help him get back to his home in the lake of the golf course.  He strayed quite a bit away.  We got a cardboard box and let him crawl into it and then we drove him to the lake on the golf cart.  Then we released him back into the lake.  He was eager to swim away!

Kindergarten Beginners Day

This fall Tori will be going to school at Stoney Point Elementary for kindergarten.  The school offers a "Beginner's Day" to give the little ones a chance to see the school and meet the teachers.  Tori also ate lunch in the cafeteria for the first time.  She really enjoyed her day and is looking forward to starting Kindergarten this fall.
