September Happenings...

Tori painted with water colors for the first time and loved it. She made three master pieces as she painted for well over 30 minutes!

Mike and I had a wonderful romantic weekend in NYC. We had very nice meal, fun entertainment (Play and Comedy Show) and good shopping too. We even explored the garment district fabric shops for Ashley and my new sewing hobbies. Ashley and Brian took Tori to the County Fair...She rode a real pony! When she wakes up in the morning...the first thing she says since that day and every day is..."I rode a pony."

Quacking Like A Duck

In our development, we have a lake that attracts lots of ducks, so Tori likes to go feed them. When we got there, the ducks were on the other side of the lake, so she decided to quack to get them to come. I asked her to do it again since it was so darn cute.

Ashley's Tutus...Adorable!

I wanted to post some of Ashley's tutu's that she is selling on Etsy and Ebay. Her business is starting to take off, especially since she added custom made tutu's to her line. She has made them in sports team colors as well as other fun themes like the mickey mouse one pictured here.

They are very reasonable and absolutely adorable...I will post a picture of Tori in hers soon. Her bows are also very nice boutique quality at reasonable prices.

Pictures from Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice time at the beach even though the weather wasn't the greatest for the weekend. We went boating and Tori enjoyed driving the boat and acting like Rose in Titanic by standing and letting the wind blow her face. We have really missed boating and the boating on the intercoastal is nice and calm, but we miss the Lake too. Nick and his buddies spent their day jetskiing.

We took Tori to the beach at night to look for shells and there was a carnival near us so she went on the carousel a few times. She definitely loves the carousel these days, it didn't take long for her to make the leap to go on and enjoy it. When we were on our way back to the car, we passed an ice cream shop and Tori said, "Ice Cream, we get some." She is definitely Mike's daughter! Yes, we got some :)

Mike and I also went to a Shag Club on Sunday night. We were youngsters in the club, but it was fun to see lots of folks Shag dancing. The boys went to pitch at a local high school, so Tori and I helped boost the economy at the outlet mall. A girls gotta do her part!

What's New With Us

Well, fall is here...Nick is back in school and we can't believe he is a junior this year. He is starting fall baseball as well which will take us north to Virginia and as far south as Florida this season. He is eager to get his driver's license...I am looking forward to not having to be his chauffeur too.

Ashley is still at the community college in town, hoping to transfer to UNC Charlotte in January. She needed to take specific courses this semester to make the transfer. Colleges here in NC are not as easy to transfer to as it was to transfer in NY. There are special rules on what classes you need if you are under 24 years old.

Tori is loving school and playing with the kids. She has two friends she talks about often...Anna and Sophia. She starts parent and me gymnastics as well. Tori's new thing to do is to "wisten" (listen). She always is asking "Did you hear that?" or "Wisten mom." It's too cute! She talks all the time and has really good language for her age. It must be all the books we read...maybe she will be our book lover as she grows older.

Sophie is at puppy finishing school. She has been there for over a week and comes home Tuesday. We miss her bounce around the house and can't wait for her to come home. Kailee is enjoying having the run of the house and doing lots of resting while she is gone...Sophie always is trying to get Kailee to play and the old girl can't be bothered.
