Out of the Mouths of Babes

Yesterday, Tori was with Carol, one of our babysitters. Tori had been dying to go play on her swingset, but it rained. The rain had stopped so Tori wanted to go out. Carol agrees and said let's go out and see. They go to the slide and it was wet and Carol said, "Hmmm what she we do". Tori thought a quick moment and said, "I know, you should get a towel."

Later they were sitting on the front porch and it started to thunder. Carol told her that the noise was thunder and Tori replied, "Yes, and its hiding behind those clouds."

Table Tennis

Nick has developed a passion for ping pong or as the pros say "Table Tennis." He has spent many hours and vacations playing the sport with his best friend Ben. Moving to Fayetteville, Nick found a Table Tennis Club with some serious competition. We joke with him all the time about this...Here is a spot in the Jack Britt High School Yearbook about Nick and his secondary passion...Table Tennis.

Saying Good Bye to Babyhood...One More Time

Baby food...gone
Diapers...gone
Crib...gone (Sleeping in a big girl bed now)
Raising Tori...Priceless!!!


Yes, I am teary eyed tonight, but loving that fact that I get to raise Miss Tori. She has brought such love and joy to our family. I can't believe in a few weeks we will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary as a family.

Ashley's New Puppy

Ashley and Bryan adopted a puppy...her name is Maddie and she is very cute. She scares Kailee and tries to play with Sophie.

Fayetteville Academy Sports Banquet

Tonight Nick has his baseball sports banquet. He was giving the Offensive Player of the Year for baseball and he was nominated to the CFIC All-Conference Team. His pitching speed has reached 85 mph and he had a great season!

Jack Britt Prom May 2010

Nick also attended the Jack Britt Prom where he previously attended high school...He went with Sierra, a friend from Jack Britt, but he also took his girl friend Sarah to the dinner before the prom. Kids are so liberal and open these days :)

Florida April 2010

Mike had a conference just outside of Miami so Tori and I went with him. We spent some time strolling the river front area...we enjoyed dinner, the art galleries and shops and of course come ice cream too.

We were so excited to be able to see Shawney and Mattine. Shawney adopted Mattine when we adopted Tori...we even traveled to Vietnam and back together.

While in Florida, we took Tori to the Everglades for an air boat ride. We were hoping to see some gators in the water, but only saw them in the zoo area.

We also took her to the Children's Museum as well. She enjoyed the exhibits, especially the slide. They even had a Vietnam exhibit as their theme was Children Around the World.
